Should Dad be on Babylist?
Hi there, it’s me—Dad.
Okay, maybe not your dad, but I am a father of two, and I just created my own Babylist account. That’s right—I made my own account. Even though we’re not planning on having another baby or making big purchases, I wanted to explore the platform. And wow, it’s been a little overwhelming… but also incredibly helpful.
Babylist isn’t just a place to snag baby gear—it’s packed with great resources for parents and parents-to-be.
After exploring the site and diving into some of its features, I came across some fantastic articles that taught me a lot about baby products. For example, I now know exactly how many diapers a baby needs in the first year (hint: it’s a lot). I also learned how registering for gift cards can save space, and how to choose between different diaper bags by reading “The Best Diaper Backpacks That Are Stylish Yet Functional.” The pricing guides, product dimensions, and care details really helped me make sense of it all.
One of the best features? You can add any item to your Babylist—even if it’s not already on their website or app. (Cue shameless plug here.) If our Baby Yoyito Day Trip Backpack catches your eye, just add it to your registry in a few clicks. Friends or family can purchase it or even chip in toward the cost. Super easy.
I ended up falling down a rabbit hole of articles and came away with a better understanding of other parents—and even my wife. Honestly, if I had been more involved in setting up our baby registry back when our kids were born, I could’ve helped pick products, offered input, and maybe taken some stress off her shoulders.
