A Recap of the 10th Annual Great Big Family Play Day- It Was A Blast!
This past weekend, the 10th Annual Great Big Family Play Day took over The Autry in Griffith Park, delivering two unforgettable days of music, laughter, and family fun. Presented by Volvo, the event truly lived up to its reputation as the “Coachella for Kids,” featuring live entertainment, interactive activities, special meet & greets, and a vibrant community of families coming together to celebrate.
🎤 Star-Studded Performances 🎤
The festival's main stage was alive with energy, featuring performances by beloved children's entertainers. Saturday's lineup included high-energy beats from Doggyland, along with fan favorites like The Beat Buds and Twinkletime. Super fun sets by YouTube star Jules!, Music with Kira, and an awesome Storytime with Chudney Ross Books & Cookies. Sunday was headlined by the one and only Laurie Berkner, who had families singing and dancing along to her catchy tunes. Let me tell you, We didn’t know who Laurie Berkner was, but we sure do now. She had a HUGE crowd, tons of families hyped for her performance, filling up the grassy concert area. The day also had some hits by Andrew & Polly, LoveBug & Me Music, and MiniBop Music. Our daughter absolutely loved the Hollywood Princess Parties show, she was starstruck.
Baby Yoyito Booth: A Hub of Family Connection
At Baby Yoyito, we were thrilled to be part of this incredible event. Our booth buzzed with activity as families stopped by to chat about parenting adventures and explore our family-friendly travel bag. It was heartwarming to connect with so many parents and caregivers, sharing stories and laughter throughout the day. It was truly fun to see parents take guesses at our fun “Guess the Number” game. A big thank you to the dads who rocked our gear and who were excited to see a bigger, better, and badder diaper bag built for them.
🌟 Spotlight on the Main Stage
A highlight for us was presenting our Baby Yoyito travel bag on the main stage during the Best of Family Gear Show and Bingo Prize Giveaways. The excitement was palpable as attendees cheered and celebrated the innovative products designed to make family life easier and more enjoyable. We are so happy that each day, a lucky individual was able to take home a Day Trip Diaper Bag, with one lucky mom telling us, “I need that bag for Disney trips.”
🎈 An Epic Two-Day Celebration
From dance parties and character meet-and-greets to arts and crafts and sports zones, the festival offered something for everyone. Families enjoyed a plethora of activities, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The joy and enthusiasm of all who attended made this event truly special. We are so lucky to have been a part of this event as an exhibitor, but also, having our two children attend on Sunday for some great music and fun activities.
